Diesel Mechanic Technician Training Program

This program is also available as part of the PA Career Pathway Pilot Project.

The Diesel Mechanic Technician Training Program is designed to assist those workers who are already employed in the field as Diesel Mechanics but who need to advance their technical skills or those who possess mechanical skills and are looking to learn the basic skills and competencies necessary to become a diesel mechanic.

Basic Instruction
- Basic Electrical Systems
- Diesel Fuel Systems/Mechanical
- Diesel Fuel Systems/Electronic
- Computer Technology
- Intro to Tech II Scanners
- Pls Fuel Management Systems
- DDEC II Electronic Fuel Management Systems

Advanced Instruction
- Diesel Engine Rebuilding
- Diesel Engine Cylinder Head Rebuilding
- Air Brake Systems
- Basic Automatic Transmission
- Advanced Diagnostics
- Transfer Case
- Basic MIG/TIG Welding

Delivery Schedule
80 hour training program
10 sessions @ 8 hours
Training will be held on Fridays at LCCC or company location according to the following schedule:
Friday, March 28 – Friday, May 30

Total Cost Per Participant $2,000
